The capital and largest city in Colombia is located in the Andes mountains on the Bogota savanna. Bogota is responsible for the majority of the country’s tourism and is a growing force in international meeting destinations. Restaurants, monuments, shopping malls, museums, art and culture; Bogota has it all. Although very modern, this city is steeped in tradition and unapologetic culture. Be sure to visit La Candelaria, Gold Museum and Plaza de Bolivar in this enchanting city. Make time to visit a local market, pictured is Paloquemao Market. These markets are beautiful and very much part of the Bogota’s culture.
