Picture Perfect Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Iceland

Seljalandsfoss Waterfall is a unique waterfall in Iceland because it can be fully encircled by visitors when weather conditions allow. Seljalandsfoss can be found in the south of the country not far from the Atlantic coast. This majestic and picture perfect waterfall drops about 200 feet and is part of the river Seljalandsá that has origins under the glacier Eyjafjallajökull. It is one of the most visited and photographed waterfalls in all of Iceland.

The Canals of Amsterdam, Netherlands

The incredible canals of Amsterdam could be considered highly underrated even in all their popularity. The canals were added to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 2010 and surpass the amount of canals in Venice, Italy. Perhaps this is why Amsterdam is sometimes referred to as the “Venice of the North.” Amsterdam contains about 90 islands that are connected by 1500+ bridges. Numerous historical buildings line the banks of these incredible canals.

Admiring the Rock of Cashel, Ireland

Welcome to one of the most brilliant archaeological sites in all of Ireland; the Rock of Cashel located in Tipperary. Tipperary is located on the route from Waterford to Adare in the South of the country. This collection of medieval church buildings and fortresses are set on top of a limestone outcrop that rises majestically out of County Tipperary’s Golden Vale. The kings of Munster kept this historical site as their base for 600 years. Enjoy an easy trek to the top of the Rock and see incredible views of the church buildings below.

The Gilded Pagoda of Bagan, Myanmar

Welcome to Bagan, Myanmar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and spiritual center of the country with over 2,000 pagodas, stupas and temples. This golden monument is the Shwezigon Pagoda and was built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a Buddhist temple. Shwezigon is one of the oldest and most impressive monuments in all of Bagan and has a design that has been copied all around the country.

The Magic of Angkor Wat, Cambodia

Angkor Wat is one of the reasons many visitors are brought to the Southeast Asian country of Cambodia. Jaipur, India; The Pink City

The city of Jaipur, India is the capital and largest city in the desert state of Rajasthan. This beautiful pink city was painted this shade as a celebration of the 1876 visit of the Prince of Wales, Prince Albert Edward. The Hawa Mahal, or “Palace of the Winds” is a pink and red sandstone palace decorated in a lacy, ornamental facade. The palace is said to resemble that of a bee hive with its 953 windows and intricate latticework. Other must see stops in Jaipur include the Amber Fort, City Palace and the Palace of Mirrors.

The Romantic Road to Rothenburg, Germany

Rothenburg, Germany is located about 40 mins outside the city of Würzburg, a town along the Main River. This fairy tale town is located along the Romantic Road, or the area of towns from Würzburg to Füssen in southern Germany that are especially picturesque. Rothenburg is best known for its well-preserved medieval old town that has maintained its appearance into the 21st century. Important sites to note here include the main square, highlighted by the Church of St. Jacob, the Town Hall Clock, and the richly decorated Patrician Houses.

Elegant History in Cesky Krumlov

Cesky Krumlov ( Český Krumlov) is located in the South Bohemia region of the Czech Republic and is renowned for its State Castle and Chateau that includes a castle, garden and baroque theater. The castle is also furnished with impressive art, tapestries and weapons. Influences of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture are abundant in this UNESCO World Heritage site. Located about an hour outside of Linz, Austria; Cesky Krumlov makes the perfect day trip!

Coastal Beauty in Porto, Portugal

Portugal’s second largest city, Porto, is a charming coastal city known for the port wine produced in the Douro Valley. The city is located along the Douro River in the north of the country and has been dubbed a UNESCO World Heritage Site, having one of Europe’s oldest city centers. Some of the must see sites in Porto include the Church of Sao Francisco, Port Wine Cellar, Luis I Brige and the Sao Bento railway.
